A note from Diane…

Black History Month is a great opportunity to restate Inclusible’s dedication to creating spaces for all people to come together and build community regardless of differences in race, culture, language, ability, etc. Creating diverse spaces enables us to combat systems of oppression, including racism.

Author Beverly Daniel Tatum states, “The task for each of us, White and of color, is to identify what our own sphere of influence is (however large or small) and to consider how it might be used to interrupt the cycle of racism.”

Inclusible is our sphere of influence.

Event Highlights

At the libraries…

Many of our local libraries are offering their own inclusive game-playing events featuring Inclusible Games. We couldn’t be happier about the embrace of using play and games to bring people together!

Our events at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library have become so popular that last Thursday we had a record number of 40 players!

Adding to our daytime events for adults, we’ve begun hosting evening events for community members of all ages! Check out our UPCOMING EVENTS web page for dates at the Colonie Library and soon the Clifton Park-Halfmoon library, too.

Breaking away from our usual events, Tim Bell of Troy, NY treated us to a sampling of a sound bath! It was a fantastic, relaxing experience! LIVE WORK LEARN made it possible and i7 EVENTS was the perfect venue!

New Partnerships

Mosaic Village is a supportive housing community in Cohoes, NY. We are excited to have this new connection and opportunity to facilitate game-playing events supporting social connections and building community in Cohoes.

We’re so happy to share that Inclusible games are now available at Schenectady Trading Company. We love partnering with local small businesses who care about community as much as we do!

Featured Game

Mini Memory Match Games

Our mini matching games are half the size of our standard matching games. They are perfect for players of varied abilities and ages (4+). And as we play with older kids and adults, we know simple fun does not have to be childish.

These games feature original photos, local themes and instructions for multiple levels of play (plus videos on our YouTube page). Most games also include educational facts and history (i.e. Around Albany, Around Saratoga Springs & Adirondack Mountains). They come in an organic cotton drawstring bag and sell for just $16.50.

Shop in person at Schenectady Trading Company, Pastore's Green Grocer in Halfmoon or through our online store at Inclusible Games.

Special Mention

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” —Corretta Scott King

We’re very fortunate to have student volunteers at our Colonie Library Community Game Nights! They arrive early to learn about the games and inclusive, community-building techniques. They are play partners and leaders. They each bring their own personalities to add to the joy of playing games with new friends of all ages!

We are always in need of volunteers! Get in touch and add some meaningful joy to your life! CONTACT US!

A huge thank you to Tran, Loukya, Shawn (not pictured), Marielle, Pia, Dipa, Purvi, Anvitha and Ananya!

“The task is not done. The journey is not complete. We can and we must do more.” — Martin Luther King III

…and we will, through play and games!
